Quilt shop teaches quilting through Quilts of Valor

July 29, 2011
Ginny Heal and Judy Engime

Ginny Heal (left) and Judy Engime, owner of the Olde City Quilts, line up fabrics for quilts they are making for the families of service personnel who have lost a loved one, or for local wounded military personnel.

Judy Engime of Olde City Quilts (Burlington, NJ) is making quilts for soldiers while teaching volunteers how to quilt. Beginning stitchers are paired with experienced quilters, patriotic fabric is provided by the shop and the results are beautiful quilts for soldiers. The finished quilts are distributed through the Quilts of Valor program, a non-profit group that had distributed more than 44,000 quilts since 2003. To see the full story click here.
