Memories of tornado stitched into quilt in 1928

March 9, 2012

A tornado struck the Gordon School on September 14, 1928. All the students were safe but the school was destroyed. The Gordon School Mothers’ Club made this quilt with community signatures and raffled it off with the proceeds going to re-build the school.

For those in Wisconsin, it will be on display at the Verona Senior Center.
