This summer The AIDS Memorial Quilt will be on display in Washington D.C.  It was part of the program the Smithsonian Institutions Festival of Folklife on the National Mall and also Quilt in the Capital. The quilt is so large, all the panels could not be shown at once, so volunteers were constantly switching sections in and out. To remedy this, Microsoft Research, the University of Southern California and the NAMES Project Foundation have created a map of the entire quilt on the internet. To see it go to: http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/redmond/projects/aidsquilt/. Make sure and use the zoom feature. To read more about the AIDS quilt, click on the picture.
